Modern Society
I’d argue that the renaissance of modern society has already taken place, and did in the early 20th century. Now we find ourselves in an era where old cues and themes repeat themselves in different sequence and placement, but where no new ideas are being produced, only the old re-imagined. This allows for refinement of ideas into a sharper concept. Examples include, trends from the 80’s and 90’s resurfacing, the skinny tie, pocket watches, the comeback of the fedora, wayfarers, aviators, et cetera.
